James Tipton Obituary

James E. Tipton Sr (62) of Ringgold, GA, passed away this Saturday, February 7, 2026. Born on February 9, 1963, in Ellijay, GA, he was loved by many. He enjoyed watching Alabama football, wrestling, and spending time with his grandkids.

James is rejoicing in heaven with his father, Ellis Gene Tipton; mother, Rebecca Guess; sister, Deann Grant; daughter, Jennifer; and son, Jonathan.

He is survived by the mother to his children, Delores (Mavrick) Tipton; son, James Tipton Jr.; grandchildren, Chassidty, Landon, and Justin; siblings, Ricky, Deloise, Jackie, Billy -Sue, and Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family is arranging a gathering for a later date to celebrate James.
